THE AREA
All fellowship sites are conveniently located in the northeast section of Salt Lake City bordered by dramatic mountains and the Great Salt Lake. Seven major ski resorts are located in the Wasatch Mountains within 45 minutes of Salt Lake City. Other recreational activities enjoyed in the mountains include hiking, boating, fishing, biking, rock climbing, and camping.
Salt Lake City is home to several professional sports teams: basketball, The Utah Jazz; baseball, The Salt Lake Bees; hockey, Utah Grizzlies; football, Utah Blaze; soccer, Real Salt Lake.
World class cultural organizations include theatre, Pioneer Memorial Theatre; Salt Lake Acting Company; Hale Centre Theatre; Capitol Theatre; Kingsbury Hall; dance, Ballet West, Rire-Woodbury Dance Company; Repertory Dance Theatre, as well as the Utah Symphony and Utah Opera Company.
