We have a diverse faculty of physicians and researchers.  Our core geriatrics faculty members have additional board-certified expertise in hematology/oncology, psychiatry, neurology, dermatology, rheumatology, and cardiology.  Research foci of these faculty spans laboratory, clinical, and health services research.  Laboratory research interests include the neurobiology and immunobiology of aging and the molecular genetics of melanoma.  Clinical research interests include hypertension, the exercise physiology of aging, physical rehabilitation in dementia, and psychopharmacology.  Programs in health services research include the clinical and economic characterization of adverse events, computerized quality assurance, automated decision support systems, models of geriatric care, and patient decision-making.
